 Capt. Hank Huitt......"I was born and raised in Palacios, Texas. I have fished Matagorda Bays my entire life and have raised my two young sons to be fishermen as well. I have found West Matagorda Bay to East Matagorda Bay, and many spots from the jetties to the surf, to be exciting places to fish. If your preference is wade fishing or boat fishing, I can accommodate you. I prefer to fish with top waters and artificials, but will certainly accommodate those who like to fish with live bait. I fish out of a 20ft Boston Whaler, 16' Transport Baby Cat, and a 16' Flounder Boat. Give me a call….let’s go fishing!" Capt. I have been writing for Gulf Coast Connections the last 5 years, covering the fishing report for the Palacios Area. As a competitive angler we finished 5th in last years Texas Redfish Series Tournament out of 154 teams. We also won the Matagorda Tournament with a field of 67 teams. We finished 4th,5th, and 16th in the last 3 POC Bash tournaments that feature some of the best trout fishermen on the coast. I have been fishing the Matagorda/Palacios Bay systems for the last 13 years and have extensive knowledge on where to locate and find fish on all conditions." |
